Back to the sea, back to its shores.

Youre the shore of the ocean

Im the slow rolling waves

I can see where the salt dried

To the beds of your face/

on the tide slipping backward

im the perpetual chain

dragged out to join

this collection of rain/

im the one springing upward

im the one on the bank

The tree with no roots

That the river washed away/

And I float down its waters

To let the river wash away/

back to the ebb

back to the flow

back out to you

the sea as my home/

back out to roar

back out to foam

to get back to you

to crash on your shores.
